To USS Academy's Partner Range
USS Academy's primary partner range is at 595 Donovan Crews Road, Saint Cloud, FL 34773. From Clermont, the drive is typically 50 to 65 minutes via US-27 and the Florida Turnpike. Students from Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, and Montverde take similar routes. For Clermont-area groups of 10 or more students, we host private classes at Clermont venues on request.
Many Clermont residents specifically seek a CWP class because west Lake County has grown substantially and, with that growth, demand for professional firearms training has climbed. USS Academy has served Lake County students for more than two decades and knows the travel windows and class-time preferences that work for west Lake County commuters. Classes are scheduled around weekend and weekday availability so Clermont students can plan around work schedules, family commitments, and the specific logistics of the drive to Saint Cloud.
Clermont-area group bookings are particularly common for family groups enrolling together, workplace colleagues coordinating schedules, and HOA or community groups who want to bring the class to a local venue rather than travel individually. For groups of 10 or more, private and hosted sessions are scheduled with dedicated instructors and full class logistics coordinated in advance.
The CWP Class for Clermont and Lake County at USS Academy
USS Academy's program covering the cwp class for clermont and lake county is part of a complete Florida firearms training curriculum built over 27 years and refined across more than 29,000 students. Every class is in-person. Every class with a CWP component includes live-fire range qualification. Every class is taught by certified instructors with real credentials and operational field experience.
Our instructor roster includes Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, U.S. Marine Corps instructors, NRA Instructors, USCCA Instructors, and Florida Class K License holders. Classes are structured to serve students at every experience level, from first-time shooters through experienced carriers and veterans. Students leave with the skills, knowledge, and, where applicable, state-approved certification they need.

Experienced gun owners enroll because they need the formal state-required certificate for their Florida CWL application. Military veterans and law enforcement officers enroll to meet Florida's specific certification requirement. Women make up a significant portion of our students, and we run select sessions under female-led instruction. See Women's Concealed Carry for details.
Families enroll together, couples enroll together, and friend groups and workplace colleagues regularly share a class. Group pricing applies at 6 or more students, and private group sessions can be scheduled for 10 or more.
